Lets you support specific organizations while we make sure that grants to these charitable organizations and institutions remain relevant over time and responsive to changing
circumstances.

Allows the donor to advise the Community Foundation on grant recommendations to nonprofit organizations and causes. Upon the termination of the advisory relationship, assets of the fund will establish an endowed community development fund in the fund founder name(s).

Enables students to pursue academic goals. You may define guidelines for candidacy, the advisory committee, the school, and the award itself.

Five years or legacy gift commitment of equal or greater value. Any spendable gifts contributed to offset desired pay-out must be done so with a gift to the endowment of the same value.
Provides donors inform the Community Foundation of a future gift through a planned giving instrument. When possible, donor intent will be documented in the form of a fund agreement.

The Community Foundation provides services to assist you in growing your fund including online giving access, marketing materials, responding to inquiries from potential donors, meeting with major gift prospects, managing complicated gifts (real estate, stock, etc.), and acknowledging all gifts to the fund. By partnering with the Community Foundation of Hancock County, you can ensure that your charitable desires are correctly defined and that your philanthropic goals are achieved.
