GREENFIELD, Ind. (Tuesday, May 19, 2026) The Community Foundation of Hancock County granted more than $265,000 to local nonprofits in the 2026 Annual Grant Cycle. The goal is for these funds to support or increase an agency’s capacity to deliver programs and services that benefit Hancock County.

These grants span a variety of sectors including health and human services, community enhancement, youth development, and arts and culture. The grant projects also touch many different communities throughout the county.

“We are grateful to our donors, whose generosity allows us to invest these funds with care and intention,” said Katie Ottinger, Community Investment & Grants Officer. “Just as importantly, we are continually inspired by the nonprofits doing selfless, on-the-ground work to serve Hancock County and make it an even better place for everyone.”

The 2026 Annual Grant Cycle was open to any 501(c)3 or charitable tax-exempt organization serving Hancock County. The available grant categories were Program and Project Support and Capital Improvement. This grant cycle granted more than $265,000 to 33 organizations from a collection of CFHC’s resources.
